“Our mission statement to go ‘Beyond Human Vision’ is the heart of a philosophy that recognizes that video surveillance is part of a wider potential with MOBOTIX as a foundational platform for innovative solutions to real world challenges in manufacturing, retail, healthcare, transportation and many other areas.”

Thomas Lausten, MOBOTIX CEO

Integrated Intelligence
We don’t make a camera, it‘s a computer with a lens

MOBOTIX IP video systems have been optimized for remote applications and cloud-based technology because the cameras can reduce the bandwidth of the video by scaling the size and the frame rate. Image details are still available thanks to the onboard virtual PTZ functionality.

The cameras store high-resolution video onboard and deliver on demand low-bandwidth live images and also low-bandwidth playback.

Additionally MOBOTIX cameras can manage an event-driven video ring buffer via network or Internet.

The live channel and the recorded video are highly secured because the video encryption is already done inside the camera.

The Most Reliable & Secure Cameras in the World

Your IT security and privacy are important to us as a MOBOTIX distributor.

A wide range of built-in security technologies such as encryption, certificates, user defined access rights and anti-bot settings have always ensured that MOBOTIX camera systems are not only extremely reliable but also provide outstanding protection in terms of network security.

But even with all the technical precautions that take place in the camera, it is important to remember to change the factory default password.

Competitive without Compromise

The new indoor cameras are especially designed to be very competitive and at the same time supporting all MOBOTIX features and functionalities including the new 6MP Moonlight technology.

Due to short distances in indoor environments the new indoor camera line uses hemispheric technology to achieve 360° view without any blind spots. However, additional lens options are available for a complete room coverage or directed views.

All indoor cameras are available with optional audio package including microphone and loudspeaker for two-way-audio. Also included is the MOBOTIX Video Analysis software for objects or people statistics, heat map reporting and behavioral events without any extra costs, which is perfect for indoor locations like retail stores, hotels and restaurants, museums, health care, universities and schools. An optional expansion board can be plugged on the backside of the camera to realize additional IO and alarm functions.

2016 Security Trends to Follow

2016 Security Trends point to a more mobile and connected experience, ongoing advancements in privacy protection and broader adoption of best practices for solution deployment. Trends include:

Trend #1
‘Mobilising’ security will make it more pervasive and personalised: a new, more secure identity lifestyle will be built around the convenience of ever-present mobile devices. Computer and network logon, driver licences and other applications will more seamlessly join physical security functions on phones, tablets and laptops. Wearables will be the next step, and phones will also work with RFID tags to add security and trust to the IoT for proof-of-presence applications.

Trend #2
Security will move to a much greater focus on the user experience: This will help close the gap between planning and compliance, while ensuring that security adapts to rather than defines end-user habits and lifestyles. Old ways of authenticating will be replaced by more satisfying alternatives.

Trend #3
Secure, connected identities will fuel safety and innovation in how we work, shop and play: the industry will enter its next new chapter of connected identities, employing multi-layered security strategies that also include biometrics in order to bind these identities to their legitimate owners.

Trend #4
There will be more attention on privacy in an increasingly connected and mobile-first world: identity will expand beyond people and their personal identity to the identity of objects and their authenticity, accentuating the need to protect personal information across increasingly interconnected devices, services and applications.

Trend #5
Security policies and best practices will become as important as technology advances. The industry will sharpen its focus on not only what to deploy, but how – from the first US mobile driver licences to unified credential management systems that enable organisations to more holistically address both facility and information security. Rather than focus exclusively on preventing breaches, the industry will also adopt best practices for controlling what happens afterwards, so stolen identities are useless to thieves.

Prodis (Pty) Ltd is a strong believer and follower of the Integrated and Holistic type of security solution. We offer tailored, supported solutions based on Industrial IP Surveillance and Hemispheric and Decentralized Technology.

Offering supporting products to complete a turnkey solution, from: storage, optical, mobility, automation, analytics, networking equipment to full Integrated Video Management Systems.

Are Integrated Security Solutions the answer to saver Cities & Businesses?

Surveillance cameras have become an integral component of any comprehensive security solution and are particularly applicable in city and central business district (CBD) scenarios where crime tends to be a more common occurrence. However, simply having cameras in place is not sufficient to either deter crime or catch the perpetrators after the fact.
As businesses grow, so do security needs. One location area may quickly evolve into a complex of buildings, workplaces, production sites and activities. Such expansion calls for regular and ongoing assessments of security risks and safety challenges. These structural and environmental changes may pose challenges for access control; monitoring movements of employees, visitors and contractors; defining boundaries for facilities and grounds; standardizing procedures and decision-making processes; and prioritizing resource allocations.

A fully integrated system is the ideal, but such a system begins by having the right security at every level of need. To achieve a fully integrated security system, consider these four primary levels of access management and control:
– Level 1 – Mechanical Access
– Level 2 – Electronic Access Control and Key Management
– Level 3 – Networked Access Control
– Level 4 – Facility Integration

At PRODIS we focus on offering tailored, supported solutions based on Industrial IP Surveillance and Hemispheric and Decentralized Technology. Offering supporting products to complete a turnkey solution, from: storage, optical, mobility, automation, analytics, networking equipment to full Integrated Video Management Systems.
